On a recent family surfing safari, Dave and Kath extended the DG community spirit to the local village at Heaven on the Planet at Ekas Bay, South East Lombock, Indonesia.
Moira Healey and Kerry Black from Heaven on the Planet and Ocean Heaven Surf and Eco Destinations, wrote:
“This letter is to acknowledge your very kind and generous donation on behalf of your company DG Global to our local village here in Ekas Bay at Heaven on the Planet.
The village is called Lendang Terak and is known in Sasak language as “small dry village”. As you observed while you were here the village is very poor although the people are very warm and friendly.
As discussed with you, one of the things that the people here have no access to, is good quality kit for sporting activities. The local village loves soccer and it is our intention to use the funds you have donated to start the local football team and call it Heaven’s Saints. The name of course is non-negotiable as Kerry is a devout St Kilda supporter back home. It fits well with our property name of Heaven on the Planet as it turns out so we are sure that this will make a fine conversation topic with anyone who comes in contact with you, us and the team”
